Surf Cup is “the” tournament. The venue is simply amazing. It is held on the polo fields located at 3885 Via De La Valle, Del Mar, CA 92014. The fields are about 20 miles North of San Diego (Del Mar) just East of I-5. The marker on the map below points to the parking entrance. Free breakfast is included and all rooms have kitchens. The cost is $139 a night w/ a 2 night minimum. The property is 11 miles from the field or about a 15 minute drive.

History of Surf Cup
The San Diego Surf Cup is actually several soccer tournaments aimed at promoting soccer in the US. It is played San Diego Polo Club’s beautifully maintained polo field. Nearly 30,000 visitors attend each of tournament weekends. The first weekend is for the youngest competitors from age 10 to 15. The second weekend you’ll find the under 16′s to under 19′s. Additionally a tournament is held over Thanksgiving weekend and is known as the “College Showcase” or College Cup because numerous college scouts looking for their next NCAA super star attend.
