Accepted, Congratulations!

Well, the girls have done it again! They have earned a bid to the Surf Cup Tournament in San Diego, CA. This is one of the top two tournaments in the country. This is the 30th anniversary (XXX) of the tournament, and our girls fourth consecutive appearance.

As of this update on June 7th, here are the team stats for our flight:

• 9 teams are in top 1% of the country (top 25)
• 2 teams are in top 2%
• 2 teams are in top 3% -13 of 16 teams are in the top 75! (over 2800 teams in the system)
• 3 State Champions
• 2 State finalists
• 2 State semifinalists.

It also appears as if two or three of the teams were only recently entered into the GotSoccer system so have no or low rankings. I wouldn’t let the low ranking sway you, the Surf tournament folks do a pretty good job of vetting their participants. As they say, “The Best of the Best” How about if this year we get a picture of the team under the sign? We’ve only forgotten to do that how many times? (I thought the third time was the charm)

DATES

As always, for the U10 – U15 it is the last weekend of July: July 24, 25 and 26. Currently, all of our bracket play is scheduled on fields 9 & 10 which are just to the right of the main entrance to the tournament.
