FWR Practice field

Balloon Fiesta Park is located at the north end of Albuquerque. The park can be reached from either the

• Northern Entrance (I25 Exit 234; Roy/ Tramway South to Balloon Fiesta Parkway) -or-
• Southern Entrance (I25 Exit 233; Alameda Road West to Balloon Museum Drive)

Access for field sport practice is typically from the Northern Entrance. The Southern Entrance provides access to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum, Albuquerque Golf Training Center and reserved picnics that are held at the park.

Directions to the Practice Fields

These show directions as described above from Exit 234 (Roy/Tramway) the practice fields are the large brown oval just West (left) of the end of the direction line near “B”

NOTE: Then address number is approximate.

Here is a printable overhead view showing roads, etc. Following the directions above you should be coming in on the road at the bottom from the East (left) since North is at the bottom rather than at the top as is the standard for most cartography.

Times

We have field 2-2 South from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday and
we have field 2-3 North from 11AM to 1 PM on Sunday

Alternatives

Here are four local city fields near the hotel that say they have a soccer field on them. Each is about 3 minutes to either of its’ neighbor in the map below. You can drive from the hotel to all of them in less than 15minutes. In order of increasing distance from the hotel (A) they are:
