Our parent organization, the Santa Clara Sporting Club ^[1] (SCSC) pays for several tournaments for us every year, saving us thousands of dollars in tournament fees every year.  The club gets the majority of their money from bingo.  They ask people representing each of the teams to serve a “shift” during the hours that they run bingo.  Based on the number of active teams, hours of bingo hall operation, number of team families, etc., it presently works out to about two shifts per family per year. Shift assignments (must be served by a person 18 or over) are currently:
Fridays:

• 2 parents from 5pm to 9pm
• 2 parents from 6pm to 10pm
• 1 parent from 7pm to close

Saturdays and Sundays:

• 2 parents from 11am to 3pm
• 2 parents from 12pm to 4pm
• 1 parent from 1pm to close

For any of our assigned shifts we have 3 options:

1. Work the 4 hour shift  -or-
   
2. Switch with another family  -or-
   
3. Buy-Out the 4 hour shift.  Please let me know which option you are choosing as I will be sending reminders.  Also, I need to give Sueli a heads up so she has time to call/arrange workers for those who choose to Buy-Out.

If you choose the Buy Out option, please have your check to the Sporting office by the Tuesday BEFORE the assigned shift.  Please send the check ($50.00) to:

Please let all parents know that if due to an emergency, he/she will not be able to work their scheduled bingo shift, a phone callmust be made to the following numbers immediately:

• Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm – Sueli at (408) 844-8570
• Friday (after 4pm), Saturday and Sunday – Bingo Manager on Duty at (408) 844-8571
