The club, of which our team is a part of, is a 501(c)3 corporation and as such any donations made to the club are fully deductible to the full extent of the law.

We do a couple of fundraisers every year. One that is a favorite of the girls is our spring time “Bike-a-thon”. The girls get friends, family, businesses etc. to pledge either a flat amount or a per mile amount. The girls have all ALWAYS completed the full ride, they are a nationally ranked (highly) team and the adult riders are usually the ones in pain…

Another one we did that appears to be one we’ll do again is our caramel(candied) apple fundraiser. The apples are locally made (Yes, I know God makes them) what I mean is the Washington grown apples are locally turned into amazing treats. Everyone who saw the apples for the first time asked if they could get a couple more. Unfortunately the company that does it is small and it’s production is booked up pretty solid and many month in advance. The apples typically sell for around $10 – $12 each which sounds like a lot, but they are HUGE. Each one I weighed was between 1¼ and 1½ lbs.  They were all wonderful taste treats and didn’t survive long.

Our parent club, Santa Clara Sporting Club (SCSC) is very generous and pays for us to attend several tournaments every year.  Our girls are very good and so get invited to attend some of the more prestigious tournaments in the country.  This year (2010) they will be attending the Far West Regional Tournament which will be held in New Mexico, the San Diego Surf Cup, and Blues Cup (San Juan Capistrano).  They won the state cup championship, which was a first for our club!  Lots of boys team have that honor, but this is the first girls team to do so for SCSC. You can look at the team history and see what they’ve accomplished since very early on. We do this without a paid coach.

We are constantly looking for ways to raise money and donations are always welcome! (print this page for reference)
